I lost one of my scouts yesterday.
Dan was one of the original 4 members of Boy Scout Troop 39 in Mashpee, MA, when it was started just over 5 years ago. I was one of the scoutmasters. Since I first met Dan, he spoke of his interest in joining the military and serving his country. After graduating high school in 2007, he did just that. He was willing to answer the call wherever or whatever it may be, and for that I am very proud of him, as we all should be. God bless you my young friend, you'll live on in our hearts and minds forever.
