The Department of Defense announced today the death of a soldier who was supporting Operation Enduring Freedom.
Pfc. Chad M. Trimble, 29, of West Covina, Calif., died May 28, near Gardez, Afghanistan, of wounds suffered when his vehicle encountered an improvised explosive device. He was assigned to the 1st Squadron, 61st Cavalry Regiment, 4th Brigade Combat Team, 101st Airborne Division (Air Assault), Fort Campbell, Ky.

PFC Chad Trimble was my son my hero. He was a dedicated soldier, a son, a husband, a father of my two beautiful little grandaughters, and a brother. Chad loved his job as a soldier and believed in what he was doing and gave the ultimate sacrafice for our country. I as his mom couldnt be prouder of my awesome son. He will be greatly missed by all who knew him. We love you Chad our hero. Rest in peace!
